Crossing nearly ready
The new pedestrian crossing at Teeling Street in now almost completed and already it is making an impact in helping people cross more safely. A big well done is extended to local council engineer David Goulden on securing finance in these stringent times for the project. Well done also to local council supervisor Jerry Connolly and his efficient staff on doing the job with relatively minor inconvenience to businesses and street users. A number of car parking places have been lost on the street because of the crossing so it is now more important than ever that shop and office staff in the various businesses park in their own back yard or in other off street parking areas and leave the on street parking to shoppers.
