Zac strikes Gold for Sligo
It was the highlight of a great week-end for Sligo athletes who returned home with another large haul of medals. Apart from Zac’s golden moment, the county won two silver and four bronze medals and also picked up three fourth place medals.
Silver medals were won by the Ballymote under 11 mixed tag rugby team and the Drumcliffe under 14 mixed tag rugby team.
Stacey Kerr from Calry won a bronze medal in the under 14 100m while other bronze medal winners were the Coolera U.14 boys relay team, the St.Feichin’s under 13 boys Futsal team and the Coolera under 16 mixed tag rugby team.
Erin Taheny, St. Feichins (U.8 60m), Robbie Kelly, Cliffoney/Grange (U.13 walking race) and Leigh Currid, Maugherow (U.14 80m hurdles) all picked up fourth place medals
