Keith completes squash hat-trick
SLIGO'S Keith Moran won the Connacht senior squash championship for the third time at Galway Lawn Tennis Club at the weekend.
Provincial champion in 2004 and 2005, Moran beat the Irish under-19 number one Conor O'shea of Galway 3-1 in the final.
He defeated Shane Cluskey (Galway) 3-2 in his first game and then overcame Aidan Sharkey, also of Galway, 3-1 to reach the decider.
Keith is currently ranked Irish number 5 and is hoping to make the Irish team for the European championships which take place in Germany in April. He played in the World Championship in Denmark eighteen months ago.
He has represented his country at all levels from under-12 to senior.
His next major tournament will be the Connacht senior open championships which take place at Sligo Tennis Club on March 2nd. The country's top players will be travelling to the north west for the event, which is one of eight grand prix tournaments.
Keith will also feature on the Connacht team at the interprovincial championships in Cork in April.
