Kate set for All-Ireland final

Castleconnor girl, Kate Barrins, is set for an All- Ireland final date next week.
The talented young goalkeeper played a starring role on the St. Mary’s Secondary School, Ballina, team which beat St Caimnin’s Community School, Shannon, 2-0, in the U.16 Girls FAI Schools sem-final on Thursday last.
Another Sligo link with the Ballina team is Jackie Mulligan, the well-known soccer and GAA player, who is involved in the management of the St. Mary’s team in her first year teaching in the school.
St. Mary’s are due to play in the All-Ireland final next Thursday or Friday.
