Miscellaneous
Any waiver of any provision of these terms and conditions must be in writing
and signed by Sligochampion.ie to be valid. A waiver of any provision
hereunder shall not operate as a waiver of any other provision, or a
continuing waiver of the same provision in the future. If any court of
competent jurisdiction finds any provision of these terms and conditions to
be void or unenforceable for any reason, then such provision shall be
ineffective to the extent of the court's finding without affecting the
validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. These terms and
conditions represent the entire understanding and agreement between you and
Sligochampion.ie relating to use of this website, and supersede any and all
prior statements, understandings or agreements whether oral or written, and
shall not be modified except in writing, signed by you and by
Sligochampion.ie.
Termination/Access Restriction
You acknowledge that Sligochampion.ie reserves the right to terminate or
delete your accounts or service within Sligochampion.ie that are "inactive"
for an extended period of time. "Inactive" means that you have not
signed into the Sligochampion.ie service for an extended period of time, as
determined by Sligochampion.ie, in its sole discretion. The amount of time
that Sligochampion.ie currently considers as an "extended" period
of time is 3 months.
INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA Competition Terms and Conditions
INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA's decision in relation to selection of prize winner(s) is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct or the results of a competition the decision of INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA will be final.
INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA competitions are not open to staff of INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA, their immediate family members or associated companies including (but not limited to) the competition promotional partner(s) and SMS/IVR service provider(s).
Unless otherwise stated, competition entrants must be over 18 years old and resident in the island of Ireland in order to qualify as the prize winner. INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA reserves the right to request written proof of age of any competition winner.
Prizes are non transferable and will only be awarded to the winner.
No cash alternative will be awarded in lieu of stated prize(s).
If, due to circumstances beyond its control, a prize becomes unavailable INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA and/or the promoter(s) reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value.
Use of a false name or address by a competition entrant will disqualify them from receiving any prize.
INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA and/or the promoter(s) will endeavour to deliver all prizes within 28 days of winning. Where this is not possible the winner(s) will be notified of a delay.
Unless otherwise stated, all taxes, insurance, fees and surcharges on any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
Where a prize is to be provided by a third party, INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA accept no responsibility whatsoever for the supply or non-supply or purported supply or delay in supply of the prize, including without limitation, the failure of the winner to receive ownership of or use the prize. Where appropriate, prize winners are required to complete all applicable booking and/or other formalities directly with the specified third party provider(s).
INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA reserves the right to change prize details without notice and all prizes, including holiday travel dates, are subject to availability.
Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission to use the relevant winner's name, hometown and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion or publicity in any media without additional compensation and prize winners agree to take part in such related promotional activities as INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA and/or the promoter(s) may require.
All competition entries must be received by INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA in the required format before the advertised closing date. Neither INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA nor its affiliated entities are responsible for printing or typographical errors in any materials relating to INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA promotions; fraudulent, lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or altered entries; or entries which are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or other technical malfunction.
INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend a competition and/or vary competition rules at any time without prior notice.
Neither INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA nor its agents accept any responsibility whatsoever for any death, injury or other damage, loss, expense or liability arising as a result of taking a prize. Nor will INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA have any liability or responsibility for any claim arising in connection with participation in any INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA competition or any of the prizes rewarded.
Prizes not claimed within specified time limit will be deemed to have been forfeited and INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA may dispose of such prizes without any liability to the winner.
Any person found to be in disregard of these rules will be disqualified automatically.
INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason whatsoever in its sole discretion.
Participation in INDEPENDENT NEWS & MEDIA competitions denotes acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional competition specific terms and conditions which may be advertised.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SUBSCRIBERS
In order to avail of a subscription the subscriber must register with the Member Centre and get a user name and password. The subscription will only be activated once payment details have been verified and an email address has been verified. We reserve the right to reject any application for subscription for any reason.
Payment details
Payment must be made by credit card and in euro denominated currency. If payment authorisation is not received or if any authorisation is subsequently cancelled we may immediately terminate or suspend your access to your subscription and may in appropriate circumstances contact the issuing bank and/or law enforcement authority/other appropriate third party.
Pricing errors
If a price is incorrectly stated whether online or otherwise we are not obliged to provide a subscription at that price and reserve the right to subsequently notify you of any pricing error. If we do this you may cancel the subscription without any obligation to us and you will be refunded any money paid in full.
Other Costs
The subscriber is responsible for any internet connection or other telecommunication charges incurred by accessing the site.
Cancellations and Refunds
There will be no refunds in the event of cancellation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription if you breach the terms and conditions with or without notice and without further obligation to you. You are not entitled to any refund in these circumstances.
Jurisdiction
The terms and conditions set out will be subject to Irish law and to the extent possible in the applicable jurisdiction the parties agree that the Courts of Ireland will have the non exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute which may arise out of, under or in connection with these terms and conditions.
