THE FIRST school in County Sligo to fly their ' Green Flag for Travel' is Mary Immaculate Girls N.S. in Collooney. The school is promoting sustainable travel to school and began the initiative back in September 2008. Students are encouraged to walk and cycle to school or indeed use public transport instead of constantly travelling by car.
