Two men who paid a contribution of €300 each to the St. Vincent De Paul in lieu of fines arising out of an incident in the Abbey Street car park in October, 2008, had charges struck out by Judge Kevin Kilraine at Sligo Court.
Robert Mahon, Geldof Drive, pleaded guilty to handling stolen property and Graham Snee, Tonaphubble, admitted criminal damage to a car.
A previous court hearing was told that when Gardai arrived at the scene after a report of a car being broken into, Robert Mahon was observed dropping a bag.
Mr. Gerard McGovern, solicitor, represented both defendants and confirmed that the donation had been made to the St. Vincent De Paul.
