Cranmore Road in a 'deplorable condition'
PART of the Cranmore Road has been described as being in a "deplorable" condition.
Councillor Chris MacManus made the remark at the Borough Council where he asked that the road be resurfaced from Martin Savage Terrace to the junction on the 'front street' of Doorly Park.
He asked officials if there was any plan to provide funding for much needed resurfacing and said part of the road left a lot to be desired.
Meetings Administrator Mary Blowick read a report from Brian Flynn Senior Executive Engineer Roads, in which it was stated that the section of the road was already included on a schedule of roads to be considered for funding under the Borough Council block grant allocation, 2012.
Councillor Macmanus welcomed the report said local residents would do likewise.
