Able IT, a young and innovative IT company based in Sligo has signed a partnership agreement to sell keepITsafe's online backup solution. The partnership will allow Able IT to sell a fully managed and fully monitored online backup solution to their database eliminating the risk of data loss due to file corruption or human error.
The company's progressive growth strategy will see it increase its new business by 20% by year end from introducing keepITsafe to the mix. Online backup, as a fully managed service has steadily increased in popularity since it provides a convenient and easy way to protect and secure important data.
"Although businesses understand the importance of data backup, many still have not implemented a regular backup method to safeguard critical business information," said Darragh Canavan, Business Development Manager, keepITsafe.
Able IT is based in Ballisodare where it was founded in 2008 by brothers, Paul and Kevin Brady and has recognised a gap in the market to supply online backup to their existing customer base. It also sees an opportunity to gain new business in the local area. "The keepITsafe online backup solution will complement our existing offerings and also open up a new stream of revenue for the company", stated Paul Brady, Director, Able IT.
"Data backup is probably the most important factor in considering business continuity planning. Essential information and data saved on your computer or server will be lost if you do not have a backup strategy put in place.
"There is also the ongoing risk of a virus, which has the potential to crash your hard drive. The keepITsafe solution makes it easy to put a backup plan in place. Once the software is set up you will never have to worry about data backup again. KeepITsafe will automatically run, continually backing up the data over the Internet to multiple secure data centres," continued Brady.
"We have been exposed to data catastrophes on numerous occasions when companies only realised their tape backup was not working, when they had to restore files. This not only poses problems internally but also effects customer's perceptions and confidence if confidential files are lost due to a lack of backup planning," added Canavan.
Able IT will be rolling out the solution to existing customers over the coming months but also plan on capitalising on new business opportunities through strategic involvement in key events such as the 4Business expo in Letterkenny on the 13th and 14th May .
