30 found in club at 3 a.m.
A SLIGO club in existence for over one hundred years was given the Probation Act for a breach of rules at Sligo Court after Judge Kevin Kilrane heard that when Gardai called at 3.a.m. they found thirty people on the premises with alcohol visible while it was unclear that everyone was a 'member.'
The incident occurred on January 9th, 2011, at the Sligo Town and County Club, Teeling Street.
Mr. Shane Mcdermott, solicitor, pleaded to a breach of club rules and said that while it was shortly after Christmas this was no excuse. It was a Saturday night/sunday morning and things had gone on a little bit later than they should have.
