MANY THANKS to all who attended the 'The tea for Diabetes' morning, in aid of the Diabetes Federation of Ireland, which was held in McDermott's Bar, Castlebaldwin. Also, a sincere thanks to McDermott's for the use of their premises, the teas and coffees provided, and the friendly and helpful staff. It was a lovely venue for this fundraising event.

SLAVE AUCTION in aid of Riverstown Karate Club will be held in Sean Mac's pub on Sat 6th March. Bidding starts at 9.30pm and food will be served during the evening also. Lots of services up for auction including windows washed, full body massage or reflexology session and a ride in a rolls royce. Come along for a fun night out. THE MORRISON TEACH Ceoil Raffle will be held on Easter Sunday and tickets are now available for sale costing €20 each or €100 for a book of 6. Prizes include €1,000, €500, €300, fligths, weekend away for two, handmade in Riverstown wooden bowl in Elm by Matthew Jones (which is on display in Hot Head Hair Salon), meat vouchers from both Martin Baker and Tony Wasylocha, meal vouchers at Sligo Park Hotel and Riverbank restaurants and cases of wine. Tickets are available in various outlets throughout the village and in Sligo.
