A POSITIVE PARENTING course will be starting in Sligo Family Resource Centre The Mall on Wednesday 24th February 8pm – 10pm and running over six weeks. This course will focus on children of primary school age. Places are limited and booking is essential. A minimal donation is requested (typically €2 per session). Details and booking please contact 071 – 91 46315 or email sligofrc@eircom.net. PARENT & TODDLER DRAMA: These sessions are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10.30am. No need to pre book, all welcome. Refreshments provided. Cost €2 per family. DROP IN PARENT & TODDLER: This stay and play session will be on every Friday, from 10.30 – 12 noon. We have designated workers who will be supporting this group, so if you come along you can be sure of a friendly face. The space is best suited to younger children but everyone is welcome! PARENTS' ROOM: Is available to all who want a break from the hustle and bustle of town or need somewhere to change or feed young children. It is located on the ground floor and is very child friendly and all are welcome between 9.30 and 4.30pm. TOY LIBRARY: Our Toy Library is well worth a visit, it is open from 9.30 – 4.30 each day and for a once off Membership fee of €5 you can borrow up to three items for up to three weeks. We have recently stocked up with new toys and more story packs, so do come along and see for you. FOOTPRINTS DROP-IN CRÈCHE can care for six children from young babies up to six years of age. Children can stay up to 3.5 hours enjoying the variety of toys and activities provided while sharing experiences with other children. Footprints are open from 9.30 to 4.pm Monday to Friday and advance booking is advisable. HOME SUPPORT WORK: The Home Support Project works with families in their own homes in Sligo Town and County. Members of our Childcare / Home Support Team visit families offering a range of support, for example, promoting positive parenting skills and day to day running of the home or just taking time to listen.
