Bring and Buy Sale raised over €1000
A BIG THANK YOU to all who supported the Bring and Buy Sale in Ballinacarrow in aid of Haiti (Haven Project) and Ethiopian Medical Fund and to all who helped out on the day. The total collected was €1,461.64. WELL DONE to all nine acts for competing in the Owenmore Gaels Got Talent competition held last weekend in Castle Dargan and also to the organising committee. Congratulations to the U14 and U16 girls who collected their medals on the night, they are a credit to the club and we wish them a very successful 2010 season. All proceeds on the night were in aid of the Owenmore Gaels Club. NEXT THURSDAY night, March 4, the weekly card game that takes place in Ballinacarrow Community Centre will be in aid of the Haiti Fund. New players are welcome on the night to raise money for this worthy cause. A GUN CLUB MEETING will take place in Hayden's Lounge, Ballymote, on Monday, March 8 at 8 p.m. to discuss forming a gunclub in the Ballymote and surrounding areas. All locals are welcome. CHANGE OF TIME for the girls Boxercise class which takes place in Ballinacarrow. For this week only (tonight) the class will commence at 6:30 p.m. A FIRST CONFESSION and Communion meeting for all three schools (Girls NS Collooney, Boys NS Collooney & Ballinacarrow NS) will take place in Ballinacarrow Community Centre on Wednesday, March 3 at 8pm (tonight). They will be joined by Achonry NS and Coolaney NS. BRIAN DEVANEY and Alan Reynolds represented Ballinacarrow Boxing Club last weekend in the National Stadium. Well done to both on their achievement to date.
